Self Defense Jujitsu for Adults

Danzan Ryu Jujitsu is a Japanese-Hawaiian martial art form comprised of techniques and strategies for self-defense, methods of resuscitation, and health enhancement.  The system relies on the elegant use of technique, rather than sheer muscular strength to overcome adversity.    While Danzan Ryu is a comprehensive martial art form, the arts you will learn in this class are from a special course called Yawara, which includes escapes from holds, joint locking methods, and pressure point submissions.    No previous experience is necessary to learn this practical and fascinating art.  Each class begins with warm-ups, and most of the techniques will be done from a standing position with a partner.  Professor Don Cross is an 8th Degree Black Belt and has been teaching for over 45 years. Held at Gymnastics Northwest, 30043 Leghorn Road .No class on 11/11.
