Dance Classes

River Road Park has a new dance teacher!

"Hi! My name is Amy Martindale. I have been dancing since 2002. I’ve done the majority of my training in Ballet, Jazz and Modern, but I’ve tried almost everything. In 2015 I graduated New Hope Christian College with a Bachelors in Ministry Leadership and an emphasis in Dance Ministry.  I am a fifth generation modern dancer trained in the Isadora Duncan style, with the bulk of that training being from one of the pioneers of University of Oregon’s graduate dance program. This is my second year being a full time teacher, teaching students ages 3-18.  I can’t wait to meet your kids and help them tap into their creativity! Please stop by and check us out!"

Dance education provides more than just technical dance skill development. Through consistent dance training, children can develop better posture, coordination, balance, endurance, grace, poise, timing and rhythm, self-confidence, discipline of body and mind, self-esteem, socialization and teamwork skills. Observation-We ask that you limit your visitation of the dance classes to the first and last day of the session. We have a minimum number of students required to run classes. Please register at least 1 week in advance.
